What is Montana Advance Sheets?
Montana Advance Sheets (MAS) is a weekly compendium of recent rulings from state and federal courts in Montana. MAS republishes the text of weekly opinions issued by Montana Supreme Court.
We also publish various orders, findings and conclusions, jury instructions and other judge-created documents from selected court cases in Montana courts. Where feasible we publish both interlocutory and dispositive rulings from early stages trial court cases to illustrate issues in the case.
How Montana Advance Sheets Are Delivered
Weekly issues go directly to subscribers and to district court judges by email. They are provided in PDF format: read it in Adobe Reader or other PDF source program, from the internet or saved to your computer. A typical issue is 75 pages. MAS does not sell a printed version, but pages of the document can be printed on 8.5″ x 11″ sheets.
Montana Advance Sheets Offers Convenient Navigation
The opinions and orders in each issue contain short summary notes from MAS. A contents list of all rulings reported in each issue, shown in a sidebar on each page, allows convenient navigation from one ruling to another.
